Drive locks first sprint down your phone Android while you drive

Conduct by looking at your phone is always a very bad idea for people with two eyes.  I have three (no, really), but I always find a dangerous activity I would not treat.  The reader Sprint provides firstly that we even not inclined to look at this little fun thing.

A new application which is designed to run on Android, it uses the on-board GPS handset to calculate the speed at which you travel.  When the speed is suggested that you are on a vehicle, all of the features that distract the phone will be immediately put on lockdown.

Once activated, will first lead to send all calls directly to voice mail, as well as to remain quiet when you receive a text message.  Instead, it will be auto-répondre to all incoming SMS with a message that informs the sender that you are not available.  Only three applications that you specify will remain available on your phone, so you can still get your navigation tower by Tower and music apps where you need it.

Because the measure your speed, the application will be lock the phone even if you are travelling as a passenger.  In these cases, it provides an override button allows you the full functionality of the device to resume.  It will probably suck when the JPA deals while you are in a round of angry birds record setting, but it is the price you pay for security.

The first station is preloaded on all sold through Sprint Android smartphones.  Use is not free, but with a monthly subscription of $2.  Launch is planned in the third quarter.
