Samsung free Droid ushers in the era of the phone for $299

Verizon has finally first Samsung 4 G LTE smartphone announced.  The Samsung Droid cargo, the new device is remarkable for many things, but there is one detail is of particular interest: costs of $299.99 on contract.  It is true, the era of the telephones of $300 is finally with the latter Announces.

Credit Verizon and Samsung, it's a free spanking phone.  In fact, perhaps the notes $ 50 on the same HTC Thunderbolt justified.  We will see much earlier, or the price takers so the prevailing ceiling of $200 will be.

Details of the Samsung Droid costs include 4.3 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen (800 x 480 resolution), a camera module of 8 megapixel camera with LED Flash, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, aGPS, connectivity 3 G 4 G front oriented, WiFi, stereo Bluetooth and a 1 GHz processor.  The inclusion of 4 G LTE means that you will download speeds between 5 and 12 Mbps and velocities of 2 to 5 Mbit/S download, offering up to ten devices at the same time can share via Mobile Hotspot.

It runs Android, probably with Samsung TouchWiz UI 2.2 running on top.  You get the usual Google mobile services, of course, follow-up with a variety of applications and offers, including the Samsung Media Hub.

Frankly, if they have a phone with this kind of specs on $299.99 on a two year contract, the prices are, I am a little worried what price point that they are considering offering dual-core beasts.    You can use the Samsung free Droid from Verizon Wireless stores as of April 28.
