Sony Ericsson announced W8

Sony has just released the first smartphone Android brand Walkman in their timesheet.  The Sony Ericsson W8 called, bears many similarities with the Sony Ericsson X 8, except with more colors and logo of the Walkman slapped on it.

A low to mid-distance smartphone, the new device is a compact device (3.9 × 2.1 × 0.6 inches) with moderate specs.  A 600 Mhz processor performs the action, combined with 168 MB of RAM, so don't expect blazing performance fast (it should be useful for the target market, however).

The Sony Ericsson W8 details include a 3.0 inch capacitive touchscreen (480 x 320 resolution), a module of camera 3.2 megapixel camera, aGPS, WIFi, stereo Bluetooth, 3 G with HSPA, FM radio, a meagre 128 MB of storage on board and expansion card microSD (up to 16 GB).  Since it's a phone Walkman, the headset stereo bundles the MH410 of company.

Android 2.1 Flash is the OS of choice, with UI Timescape on the top of the page running.  All the usual applications of Google are discarded, with the Walkman of several characteristics of the music-centric and service line.

Price for the Sony Ericsson W8 is not announced, although the availability of several Asian markets is scheduled for the second quarter.  It comes in three colors: azure blue, metallic red and iconic orange.
